For Improve My Game Jam 38 and Portfolio Builders Jam - Week #14
This devlog is intended for my participation in Improve My Game Jam 38 and Portfolio Builders Jam - Week #14
I'm doing godot for 6 month and I feel that the current html build (1 april 2025 as of time writing), give at least an impression of the features, mechanics and gimmicks that I was able to code into the game into what could represent as a "first level" without evident placeholder. Everything is built or aim to be built from the ground up and currently, by only myself.
This specific update correct the frantic behavior of Jawmon when he is alone at home and I expanded quite a bit on the level design.
I'm presenting my game, Tamajitaru.
The initial concept is a tamagotchi/animal crossing inspired game.
The time is synchronized with the Unix epoch and flow 1:1 with real life, the in-game sun should some what follow it real-life counter part (currently working with bugs).
I got a barebone pathing system, a dialogue system and a calendar system already in place. Together I should be able to create location based events.
I would like to create an alternative palette for my tile or elevation tiles, to further expand the world(change season and pathable mountain, maybe), and finish at least two buildings to create a more meaningful example of the calendar system.Right now:
Jawmon come hang with you every 30 minutes for 30 minute, he's quite a chill Tamajitaru, but he bites a lot.
Everything was made by me except the song (CC0), I needed something to learn how to implement, I should make something myself.
The game and description is in french, it should not block anyone exploring the game.
